Years of being stranded here. Chasing the Thing across these endless landscapes. Years ago it appeared in the alley behind my apartment. Like a curious fool, I went out to investigate. I stepped under its lights and was brought here. Then it abandoned me. This place feels completely disconnected from my home. A different world entirely. No people. No humanity. Just infinite mountains, fields, hills... It was peaceful at first. Invigorating, even. But eventually, with no way home, it became my prison. I figured the Thing was my only hope of returning. But it drifts slowly through the mountains, vanishing randomly and appearing elsewhere. So every day I chased it. And every time I came close, it disappeared. Until today. It was just sitting here. Almost like it had been waiting for me. And now, as I stand under its lights, I can finally feel what I felt years ago. I can see a place through the blur. Flickering in and out of view. Pulling me out of this place. I'll wait here.
